Active Orthopaedic is Vancouver’s premiere Pedorthic services company for those who love to live life actively. Whether you walk, run, bike, hike, or dedicate yourself to a specific sport or activity, their sole purpose is to keep you engaged in the activities you enjoy.
Active Orthopaedic needed a website that would allow for their team to be able to add and remove articles and FAQs to their website with ease. The Active Orthopaedic website was built using WordPress and utilizing many of the plugins that wordpress has available. I incorporated a fun frequently asked questions slider to the pages so that finding answers to the most commonly asked questions was at the finger tips of the site visitors.
The Dragon Boat Festival and I have been working together since 2008. They first approached me when they decided that they needed to redesign and rebuild their current website. At that time, I was brought on board to help them redevelop their existing website.
Since then, they have under gone a second redesign. Monica (www.monolab.ca) helped them re-establish themselves with a completely new look. We rebuilt their website using WordPress allowing them to maintain their own content. We also built a Volunteer form allowing the Society to take online registrations for the volunteering throughout the festival.
All brands, large or small deserve good design. Monolab specializes in crafting unique identities from the ground up, designing every aspect of how they look, sound and communicate with their audience.
Lisa’s favourite quote is “There is no such thing as bad weather; only inappropriate clothing.” As an active mom based on Canada’s wet and rugged West Coast, Lisa discovered that finding warm footwear for her young kids was near impossible. With her five-month old son in a backpack, Lisa resorted to wrapping scarves around her son’s legs to keep him warm. When she met another mom who had 6 years earlier made a boot that looked a lot like a fleece-lined chalk bag for her child, Lisa instantly knew these booties could fill a need in the market.
Stonz Wear Inc. came to me looking for a website redesign, newsletter, and ongoing website maintenance. Their existing site was based on an e-commerce content management system.
Building on the existing content management system, I designed the site to incorporate regular updates with themes according to season. I developed new calls to action to encourage site visitors to check out new products and features. I also created an e-newsletter with content provided by copywriter Jessica Grajczyk.
