Junie, a brilliant author and poet, came to me in need a website as she did not yet have one.  When we started we were starting with a clean slate, we needed a colour palette, word mark logo, site structure, site assets and content.

This project had a very fast turn around and was the most fun designing and creating from scratch.

Junie needed the website to be clean, classic and elegant. We were starting from the beginning so we also needed to included hosting, domain, email setup & SSL setup.

Some of the additional design and functional requirements included: 

  • Logo: We chose an elegant classic font and used her name as her wordmark/logo
  • Favicon: using her initials
  • Responsive for all devices and orientation
  • Testimonial Slider to showcase her book reviews
  • Chronologically Displayed Publications
  • Upcoming & Past Events
  • Newsletter Subscription Optin
  • GDPR Compliance: Allowing the site visitors to accept/decline cookies

It’s amazing! In fact I’ve only been looking at my website on my mobile phone through this process and today I finally looked at the website on a desktop and it’s amazing! On both mobile and desktop it’s so seamless!! 😍
